Karachi is likely to experience cold weather from January 9, Meteorological Department

Karachi: The Department of Meteorology has revealed the possibility of cold winds blowing in the city of Quaid from January 9.

According to the Department of Meteorology, the minimum mercury in the city was recorded at 14.5 degrees Celsius on Thursday. Due to fog in the city in the morning, the temperature was reduced to a record of two and a half kilometers.

The day continued to be gusty winds due to which the weather remained cool, but the weather remained clear for some time, the maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 24.8 degrees Celsius, a decrease of 2.4 degrees compared to the previous day.

According to Chief Meteorologist Karachi Sardar Sarfraz, under the new system entering Balochistan from the West, a new wave of cold is expected in the city from January 9, during which the intensity of cold may increase due to the decrease in temperature.

According to the Meteorological Department, the western system may affect some parts of Balochistan from today, resulting in light rain with thundershowers in Chagai, Quetta, Chaman, Ziarat, Qala Abdullah.

Rain is expected over the coast of Qila Saifullah, Loralai, Pashin, Mastung, Zhob, Kalat, Musa Khel, Kharan, Harnai, Sibi, Nushki, Khuzdar and Makran. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy fog in the plains of Upper Sindh.
