Lahore: The returning officer was summoned on the appeal against the approval of nomination papers of Nawaz Sharif.
In the Appellate Tribunal formed regarding the general elections of the High Court, a hearing was held on the appeal filed against the nomination of the leader of the Muslim League-N and former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif from Constituency 130 of the National Assembly. Issued a notice and asked for a response.
Appellate Tribunal Judge Risal Hasan Syed overruled the objection of the Registrar’s Office on the appeal and summoned the Returning Officer (RO) in his personal capacity on the appeal against the approval of the nomination papers.
It should be noted that local lawyer Ishtiaq Ahmed filed an appeal against the approval of the nomination papers of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, in which it was held that Nawaz Sharif is ineligible for life. Later, an objection was raised by the Registrar’s Office for not attaching the attested documents with the appeal. which the Tribunal concluded by hearing.
