Karachi: Opposite crossing footpath after speeding Double Cab (Dala) driver lost control on Mai Kalachi Road. The vehicle coming from the direction collided with the car, the staff officer of the Sindh Assembly in the vehicle was killed and the employee and the driver were injured.
According to Express News, a speeding Double Cab (Dala) driver lost control near the PT wall of My Kalachi Road near the PT wall of Docks Police Station while crossing the footpath and collided with a vehicle coming from the opposite direction. As a result, one person in the vehicle died on the spot and two persons were seriously injured who were immediately shifted to Civil Hospital by Edhi Ambulance.
In the hospital, the deceased was identified as 55-year-old Haroon son of Adam, while the injured included 60-year-old Abdul Qadir son of Usman and 45-year-old Shahzad son of Ghulam Qadir.
According to Docks Police, the person in the vehicle who died in the accident was Haroon Lyari, a resident of Hanguraabad and a staff officer of Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani and a grade 20 officer in Sindh Assembly, while among the injured, Abdul Qadir was also an employee of Sindh Assembly. However, Shahzad is the driver of the vehicle.
According to Docks Police, the accident happened to the double cabin vehicle due to over speeding. The double cabin vehicle was going towards Lalazar from PIDC. As a result, one person was killed and two people were injured.
The driver of the double cabin vehicle escaped after the accident, Docks police has suspected that the tie rod of the double cabin vehicle was broken in overspeed due to which the double cabin vehicle collided with the oncoming vehicle, which caused the vehicle to overturn. The police is investigating whether the vehicle is said to belong to a private company.
