JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s convoy has been fired at in Dera Ismail Khan.
According to sources, JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s convoy was fired upon at York Interchange in DI Khan.
According to initial information, Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s convoy was fired on from two sides, in which all the people accompanying him including the JUI chief were safe.
Maulana Fazal Rahman was passing through Dera Ismail Khan in connection with the election campaign. After the incident, Maulana Fazlur Rehman reached his native place Abdul Khel.
JUI spokesperson Aslam Ghori says that the firing near Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s convoy is a cowardly act, he has repeatedly warned that the situation is not favorable for our leadership.
He said that the administration writes letters regarding threats every day but does not actually take any action, the incident should be investigated immediately, how the institutions are not fulfilling their responsibility.
He said that the law and order situation in KP and Balochistan is deteriorating day by day.
Meanwhile, former Prime Minister and President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the firing on Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s convoy in DI Khan.
In a statement, Shahbaz Sharif said that thanks be to Allah that Maulana Fazlur Rehman and his companions were safe in the attack.
