Karachi: In 3758 police encounters this year, 21 soldiers of Sindh police lost their lives.
IG Sindh Rifaat Mukhtarraja has been told in the report on the performance of Sindh Police that the effective and coordinated action against dacoity, criminals and terrorists in the context of controlling the law and order situation and protecting the life and property of the people. During this year, till December 29, 21 soldiers of Sindh Police martyred themselves.
According to the report, 1726 criminal gangs were eliminated during 3158 police encounters in different police ranges of Sindh as a result of effective police strategy, response and timely measures against crime.
The report further stated that 19,803 dacoits/accused, 93 terrorists, during the police encounters and raids between police and criminal elements in various districts and places of Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur and Larkana police range. 08 target killers, 28 notified robberies, 26 highway robberies, 26914 fugitives including 38 kidnappers while 16135 advertised suspects were arrested.
278 dacoits, criminals, 03 terrorists, 04 notified dacoits, 03 highway dacoits and 01 kidnapper were killed during police encounters, raid action.
According to the report, 10449 suspects, 01 terrorist, 01 target killer, 01 notified robbery, 20 highway robbery, 23 kidnappers and 1515 advertising and 9090 absconding suspects were arrested in 1080 police encounters in different districts of Karachi Police Range during the said period. 1005 criminal gangs were eliminated across the country.
5502 kidnappers and 2058 traffickers and 4239 fugitives were arrested in 330 police encounters in various districts of Hyderabad police range, while 253 criminal gangs were busted across the city.
During 01 police encounter and raid operations in different districts of Mirpurkhas range, 1269 accused and 192 advertised and 783 absconding accused were arrested, while 36 criminal gangs were eliminated from across the city.
In different districts of Shaheed Benazirabad, 508 suspects, 01 notified robbery, 03 highway robbery and 698 advertised and 2674 absconding suspects were arrested during 231 police encounters, raid action, while 37 criminal gangs were eliminated from across the city.
632 police encounters, 987 robberies/criminals, 02 notified robberies, 03 highway robberies, 1962 advertisements and 3273 absconding suspects were arrested in various districts of Sukkur Police Range, while 253 criminal gangs were busted from across the city.
879 police encounters, 921 dacoits/suspects, 23 notified dacoits, 04 kidnappers and 9710 advertisers and 6855 absconding accused were arrested in different districts of Larkana police range, while 142 criminal gangs were eliminated from across the city. .
According to the report, 167 dacoits/criminals, 87 terrorists, 07 target killers were arrested in 05 police encounters against the crimes of the Sindh Police Counter-Terrorism Department at the provincial level. 02 terrorists were killed.
According to the police report, as a result of police encounters and crackdown against criminal elements in Sindh, 129 robberies/criminals were killed in Karachi, 01 terrorist, 03 highway robberies, 17 robberies/criminals in Hyderabad, 09 robberies/criminals in Shaheed Benazirabad. In Sukkur, 83 robbery criminals, 01 notified robbery while in Larkana 40 robbery/criminals and 03 notified robbery were killed.
The report further stated that a total of 6.569 kg of explosives, 04 rockets, 124 hand grenades, 93211 ammunitions were seized from the possession of notified dacoits/terrorists in all the ranges of Sindh Police in Mazkoura Duwarnye. , 9714 Pistols/Revolvers/Mausers, 186 Rifles, 554 Shotguns/Repeaters, 202 SMGs/Kalashnikovs, 03 MP5s, 11 G3 Rifles, 02 LMGs and 01 Anti-Aircraft Guns were recovered.
The police report stated that till December 29 this year, a total of 364 robbers were arrested in 188 police encounters as a result of intelligence-based operations against robbers in the slum areas of Sukkur, Ghotki, Kashmore and Shikarpur. 136 dacoits who are arrested red-handed are also included.
As a result of these arrests, 52 gangs of robbers were eliminated while 40 robbers were killed during the police encounters. According to the report, 1883 accused and 1549 absconding accused were also arrested during the operation in Kacha area.
The report states that in 363 days of this year, Sindh Police arrested 2087 accused in 1737 cases under anti-trafficking measures and seized 21265 kg of chalia, 3727.427 kg of gutka/mainpuri, 528377 liters of Iranian diesel, 3388.829 liters of Iranian diesel. Kg of drugs, 3948 other items, 305 vehicles, 19900 bags of fertilizer and 1600 bags of sugar were recovered which were later handed over to customs and other institutions.
According to the report, as a result of 11038 police raids during anti-narcotics operations in various districts of Sindh, 15609 drug dealers were arrested under 12870 FIRs and 10620 liters of foreign and 368587 liters of local liquor, 131.072 kg of opium were seized from their possession. , recovered 14142.9 kg of hashish/hasish, 10822.5 kg of hemp, 152.214 kg of heroin and 91.316 kg of ice.
In addition, in 363 days of this year, Sindh Police has registered 10925 FIRs and arrested 13952 accused while cracking down on Gatka, Mawa mafia at the provincial level. 2224647 Kg Gutka, Manpuri recovered from the possession of these accused. As a result of the police action, 297 factories/factories manufacturing Gatka, Mawa were also destroyed.
