Karachi: PML-N and MQM-Pakistan met in connection with the seat adjustment in the general elections, in which they deliberated on bringing a joint candidate and giving a tough time to the Pelz party in Sindh, but no final decision could be taken yet.

Sources say that there will be more rounds of meetings. The leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Moment and Muslim League-N agreed that a final decision will be taken only after consultation with the leadership.

In the long meeting held at PML-N House Sindh, PML-N Sindh president Bashir Memon, Ali Akbar Gujjar, Nihal Hashmi and others were included while the MQM delegation included former federal minister Aminul Haq, Hasan Sabir and others.

According to the sources, MQM offered support to PML-N on National Assembly NA-229, NA-230 Malir, NA-239 Lyari Constituency and said that PML-N will win both the provincial seats of Malir and Lyari Constituency. Cooperate with MQM.

The PML-N appealed to the MQM to withdraw from NA-242 municipal seat and assured support for the provincial seat falling within NA-242.

MQM clearly said that Mustafa Kamal is a strong candidate of MQM from NA-242 municipality, PML-N should support him. Mustafa Kamal has been working on this seat for three years.

MQM said that it will fight on its own on both the national and four provincial seats of Hyderabad. MQM offered support in Mirpur Khas, Sukkur and Nawabshah National Assembly seats and asked that PML-N should support MQM in the provincial seats of these constituencies.

In the last three meetings, the PML-N first wanted the support of MQM on 20 provincial seats and 7 national seats. The PML-N is now seeking support from the MQM on National Assembly seats NA-242 and NA-243.

Both the parties will now send the proposals to their respective leaders today. The final decision will now be taken by the top leadership of both the parties.
