Electricity for Karachi is one rupee 71 paise expensive

Karachi: On the request of the federal government, the cost of one unit has been increased by Rs 71 paise for the electricity consumers of Karachi.

According to Express News, the Nepra Authority has issued a detailed decision on the request of the federal government in which the price hike has been approved.

According to the decision, the increase in prices will be applicable from January 1. Customers in Karachi will be charged 48 paise per unit for April, May and June 2023 in January-March bills.

Similarly, for July, August and September 2023, 1 rupee 24 paise per unit will also be charged from January 1.

It should be noted that the increase in the prices for the consumers of Karachi was done at the request of the federal government, the increase has been done in the form of quarterly adjustments, the same money has been received from the consumers of other distribution companies in the country.
