DC Islamabad does not have authority to issue 3MPO, Islamabad High Court

Islamabad: In the case related to arrest under 3MPO, Justice Babar Sattar of Islamabad High Court has said that DC Islamabad does not have the authority to issue 3MPO.

The case of arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shehryar Afridi and Shandana Gulzar under 3MPO was heard in Islamabad High Court. The court allowed the pleas of Shehryar Afridi and Shandana Gulzar against the MPO order and declared the 3MO powers Act PO 18, 1980 illegal.

Justice Babar Sattar delivered a safe verdict and said that Deputy Commissioner Islamabad does not have the authority to issue 3MPOs. The power of three MPs should be vested only in the federal cabinet.

Later, talking to the media in Islamabad High Court, Babar Awan said that “Justice Babar Sattar has said that action should be taken against those who arrested under 3MPO”. Babarawan said that the powers given to the Deputy Commissioner and the Commissioner under the martial law order are wrong. The court has declared the 3 MPO order invalid. Only Cabinet can pass orders within Islamabad.

Babar Awan said that Shahbaz Sharif attacked the Peshawar High Court yesterday. If it is such a pain, then go to Peshawar High Court and become a party, then we will ask how many NROs have been taken. The nation will not allow more theft, that is why they are running away from the election.
