California: Instant messaging application WhatsApp is going to introduce several new features for its web version. These features include a new sidebar, a redesigned dark mode and the option to create a username for your profile.
In October this year, it was reported that Meta’s sub-app is working on a username feature, after which one user will no longer need another user’s phone number to communicate. However, this feature, which is currently in testing stages, has been released to a few mobile users of the app.
But now a recent report by WhatsApp Beta Info suggests that the company is working on expanding the scope of this feature to the web version.
Currently, WhatsApp Web has buttons for Communities, Status, Channels and New Chat on the top left side of the window, but the new sidebar will move all of them to the left side of the browser window so that users can easily switch between multiple tabs. can
Apart from the sidebar, the company is also working on a feature for web version users to change their username.
