Peshawar: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s nomination papers were approved from Mansehra.
Lawyers from both sides presented their arguments before the Returning Officer NA 15 Hajra Sami. The objection filed by PTI against Nawaz Sharif was rejected.
PTI leader Azam Swati filed objections on Nawaz Sharif’s papers.
According to the petitioner, in the spirit of the Constitution of Pakistan, no judicial forum can deviate from the decision of the Supreme Court.
Azam Swati’s position in the petition was that the relevant returning officer is not authorized to declare Nawaz Sharif eligible for election because Nawaz Sharif was found guilty of dishonesty and corruption under Article 62 (1OF) of the Constitution and Nawaz Sharif is authorized. Not to be able to contest elections or hold any official position. Nawaz Sharif has been disqualified for life by a 5-member bench of the Supreme Court.
The objections were filed by PTI leader Shahid Rafiq and citizen Zakaria Tariq before the Returning Officer NA-15.
