Globally popular instant messaging application WhatsApp has introduced a new version in the Stories section, which users can share with their friends.
Webeta Info According to the report, these stories automatically disappear after 24 hours. Stories are now an integral part of every social media and messaging app, allowing users to share their daily moments with others.
According to the report, Stories have been added to WhatsApp as Status and the good news is that now you can share Status with your friends on the web version of WhatsApp.
It is possible to share photos, videos and text as status on the web version of WhatsApp. When a user updates their status on the web version, a green ring will appear on their profile photo, which can be clicked to view the status.
AbetaInfo reports that this new feature has been introduced in the beta version of the web version. According to an estimate, millions of people use the WhatsApp web version and it is mostly used for office purposes.
If you want to use this new feature, click on the status icon on the top left side of WhatsApp web and select My Status. Doing so will bring up Photos & Videos and Text options below.
The status feature is used by many people and hence changes are made constantly.
Some time ago the voice status feature was also introduced in WhatsApp and now the status feature is being added to the web version as well.
As mentioned above this feature is only introduced in beta version so it is hard to say how long it will be available to all users.
