Rawalpindi: CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani dismissed 33 police officers and officials from their jobs for poor investigation and follow-up in drug cases.
According to the details, due to poor investigation and non-follow-up of drug cases, the accused benefited and those officers who were dismissed from the police department include 9 sub-inspectors, 11 assistant sub-inspectors, 01 head constable and 12 constables. are
Police officials said that the dismissed officers were dismissed from the department after a departmental enquiry, the dismissed officers showed negligence and unprofessional conduct in the investigation of drug cases which were proved in the departmental enquiries.
CPO Rawalpindi Khalid Hamdani said that any kind of negligence or mistake will not be tolerated in the crackdown against drugs, the lack of punishment despite the red-handed arrest and recovery of the accused cannot be tolerated.
CPO Rawalpindi further said that if there is no conviction, the relevant officers will have to be held accountable in any case. Ice and other drugs recovered.
