Imran Khan’s Regime Change Allegation Again Rejected by America; Photo: File
Washington: The US once again refused to be part of the ‘blame game’ of Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to the World News Agency, during the weekly press briefing, a journalist asked the spokesperson of the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ned Price, that Imran Khan has now given a new position on the charge of regime change against the US. What would you say to that?
To which the spokesperson of the US State Department said that I will not comment on the new developments on this blame game. We do not want to be a part of this because when this allegation first surfaced, we have clearly and consistently said that there is no truth in these allegations.
Ned Price added that whether the blame game ends or not, we will not allow propaganda and misinformation to stand in the way of our valuable bilateral relationship with Pakistan. They consider a prosperous and democratic Pakistan important for their interests.
The spokesperson of the US State Department dismissed the impression of interference and said that the US has never taken any position on the internal politics of Pakistan. There is no position.
Ned Price further explained that we do this with other countries around the world. The United States supports democratic, constitutional and legal principles of peaceful governance.
It should be noted that before his dismissal in April last year, the then Prime Minister Imran Khan had claimed that the Biden administration had planned his dismissal. He also produced a diplomatic cable as proof of his allegation.
However, in an interview with Voice of America this week, Imran Khan backed away from his accusation and acquitted America of regime change and said that it was former Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa who planned the removal of his government. Implemented it and presented them as opponents in front of America.
