Peshawar: Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Justice Retired Syed Arshad Hussain Shah was met by Chairman NAB Lieutenant General (R) Nazir Ahmed Butt in which matters related to ensuring transparency in the affairs of government departments, especially development projects, were discussed.
In the meeting of Chief Minister Justice Retired Syed Arshad Hussain Shah and Chairman NAB, it was agreed to involve the top officials of NAB in all stages of development projects so that any possible corruption in these projects can be prevented from the beginning.
In the meeting, it was decided to include a NAB representative in the Chief Minister’s Task Force.
During the meeting, caretaker Chief Minister KP said that the involvement of NAB in all stages of development projects will ensure transparency, and as a result, delays in the development process will also be avoided and government officials will also gain confidence.
Chief Minister Syed Arshad Hussain Shah further said that the process of reforms in NAB is welcome as it will help in eradicating corruption. He said that the provincial government is following the zero tolerance policy against corruption.
Chairman NAB Lieutenant General (retd) Nazir Ahmed Butt while appreciating the vision of the Chief Minister for the eradication of corruption and transparency in government affairs, said that we all have to work together for the development of the country and the nation and the welfare of the people.
He said that NAB will provide all possible support to the provincial government to ensure transparency.
Director General NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Waqar Ahmed Chauhan was also present in the meeting between caretaker Chief Minister and Chairman NAB.
