Karachi: As soon as the effects of the western system appear, the cold winds of Quetta have blown in Karachi as well.

According to the Department of Meteorology, the cold air behind the western system entering the country through Balochistan is affecting Sindh and Balochistan, but the western system has moved towards the upper regions of the country.

North-easterly winds started blowing from midnight on Sunday and the wind speed is currently being recorded at 22 km per hour, while the wind speed may exceed 38 km per hour today.

This morning due to fog over the city, the visibility was affected and the limit was recorded at 2 km. Today, the minimum mercury in the city was recorded at 15.5 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department says that the temperature may drop further on Tuesday and Wednesday due to the influence of northeasterly (Baluchistan) winds.

It should be noted that cold weather was predicted in Karachi from December 18.
