Post-mortem report of citizen killed in tiger attack in Bahawalpur zoo

Lahore: The post-mortem report of the citizen who died in the tiger attack in Bahawalpur Zoo came to the fore, in which it was said that the citizen died due to the attack of the Bengal tiger.

It took 10 to 15 minutes for the young man to get injured and succumb to the tiger attack. The post-mortem report said that 10 major injuries were found on the body of the young man due to the attack of the tiger. According to the report, signs of resistance were found on the part of the citizen before the death, there are injuries on different parts of the body, but no bones were fractured.

The report also stated that the citizen’s death occurred 12 hours before the report. The tigers had completely scratched one of the citizen’s legs. The flesh was also scratched from the neck. Both the hands of the citizen had hairs of tigers.

This tragic incident took place between the night of 5th and 6th December. On the morning of 6th December, the zoo management came to know about the death of the young man when the sweeper came to clean the cage of the tigers. In the initial investigation, it was reported that the name of the deceased youth is Muhammad Bilawal Javed, who was a resident of Lahore. Identification was done through biometrics.

After this incident, the Punjab wildlife officials including the caretaker chief minister gave instructions to upgrade the security of the zoo and install closed circuit cameras at other places besides the main gate, but according to reports, there are no concrete steps regarding the security upgrade yet. have been raised.
