Karachi: An incident of target killing took place in Karachi, in which two people were killed and a woman was injured when armed men fired at a car.

Near Nazimabad No. 2 Inquiry Office, armed terrorists on a motorcycle targeted a vehicle and opened fire from both sides of the vehicle, resulting in the death of two persons in the vehicle while the woman on the back seat was injured. .

The deceased person has been identified as 45-year-old Tariq Qureshi, while the other person has not been identified. The woman injured in the firing has been identified as Benish, who is the wife of deceased Tariq Qureshi.

According to SSP Central Faisal Abdullah Chachar, Tariq was leaving Sakhi Hasan’s wedding hall with his wife for a wedding ceremony when the terrorists targeted them near the Nazimabad Inquiry Office. The incident is being investigated. The victim, Tariq Qureshi, was shot 9 times and the driver of the vehicle was shot 2 times, while the woman Benish was injured by a bullet on her hand.

The Crime Scene Unit inspecting the scene says that shots were fired from both sides of the vehicle. 3 coins of 30-bore pistol have been recovered from the vehicle, while bullet shells have not been found yet.

The deceased Tariq Qureshi is the brother-in-law of PPP central official Faisal Sheikh. After the incident, a large number of PPP leaders and workers reached Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where PP leader Asad Hanif said that law and order is being created in the city under a well-thought-out conspiracy to make the election environment worse.
