Zulfikar Ali Bhutto hanging reference hearing has started in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. A 9-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa is hearing the case. In this regard, the court proceedings are being telecasted live.
Justice Sardar Tariq Masood, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Aminuddin, Justice Jamal Mandukhel, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, in the larger bench of the Supreme Court which heard the presidential reference in the former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto hanging case after 11 years. Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi and Justice Musrat Hilali are included. Earlier, the last hearing on the presidential reference regarding Zulfiqar Bhutto’s execution was held on November 12, 2012.
At the commencement of the hearing, the Attorney General and Farooq H. Naik came to the rostrum. On this occasion, former President Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the central leaders of PPP are also present in the court room.
It should be noted that the Registrar Supreme Court had issued a notice regarding the hearing to the parties of the case while the Supreme Court has directed to telecast the Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto presidential reference hearing live. In this regard, it has been stated in the announcement that the court proceedings will be shown on the official website of the Supreme Court and YouTube channel.
