Islamabad: The federal capital police arrested a gang supplying drugs to educational institutions while conducting an important anti-narcotics operation.
According to the spokesperson of Islamabad Capital Police, the arrested drug dealers were identified as Mubarshasin, Mudassar Ali, Afzal Hussain who are residents of Bari Imam, and 11900 grams of drugs were also recovered from their possession.
The police say that the accused had dug the drugs in the forest of the university and hidden them inside the gallons. On the revelation of the accused, the police raided the houses of the accused and recovered a huge consignment of drugs from the forest.
According to the police spokesperson, the accused used to supply drugs to various educational institutions including Quaid-e-Azam University.
Further investigation of the accused is going on and important revelations are expected.
Meanwhile, IG Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has praised the police team for busting the network of drug peddlers.
