Lahore: In Punjab, the police have arrested the accused who produced a dangerous and defective injection that destroys the sight of the eyes.
According to the details, 87 people suffering from conjunctivitis in different areas of Punjab have lost their sight due to the injection and some of them have also lost their eyes.
The police arrested the suspect who was identified as Bilal for manufacturing defective and unregistered injection from Arifwala. According to police officials, Bilal used to prepare injections in a private hospital in Model Town and supply them to unregistered and unlicensed injection hospitals.

The arrest of the accused was carried out with the assistance of Arifwala Police, while earlier the Special Operations Wing of Punjab Police conducted operations to arrest the accused.
According to officials, the injections were supplied in various districts of Punjab including Lahore.
On the other hand, the Punjab government has taken a position that lakhs of rupees were earned by extracting 83 doses from one vial.
Earlier, caretaker health minister Punjab Dr. Javed Akram told the media that the number of people affected by the dangerous injection reached 68. He said that all kinds of facilities are being provided to the patients, surgery will also be done if necessary.

The Health Minister had said that the use of the injection in the eye has been stopped and the services of a forensic laboratory have also been engaged for the investigation, while the investigation team will ascertain the formation, supply of vaccines.
Meanwhile, the vision of a patient of Jhang was affected along with the structure of the eye, on which the doctors have decided to implant the woman with an artificial eye.
