Karachi: The security guard, who thwarted the robbery of the citizens at the hotel and killed the robber in the exchange of fire, was given a cash reward of Rs 25,000 by the police for his bravery.
According to Express News, the statement of the private security guard Waqar Ahmed, who killed the robber in the exchange of fire and foiled the robbery attempt of the citizens sitting at the hotel in North Karachi Sector 7D1 area of Sir Syed police station area, has come out.
The security guard said that he had gone to have breakfast at the hotel on Sunday morning where 2 armed accused on a motorcycle were fleeing after robbing the citizens sitting at the hotel, so I challenged the robbers from behind, on which the robbers fired at me.
According to security guard Waqar Ahmed, one of the robbers was injured in the retaliatory fire and was caught and handed over to the police, while the other robber managed to escape from the spot.
Security guard Waqar Ahmed was also given a cash reward of Rs 25,000 in the DIG West office for his bravery, the security guard says that this is our responsibility and he was fulfilling his responsibility.
