Karachi: Selling a diet plan to lose weight cost the doctor dearly, in the consumer court, the doctor paid a fine of two and a half lakh rupees.
According to Express News, the application against the doctor who sold the diet plan was heard in front of the Consumer Court Sharqi Fahmida Sahiwal in Karachi.
In the case of a citizen who bought a diet plan for his mother, the doctor deposited the fine. Dr. Nada deposited the fine amount of Rs. 250,000 in the court.
Petitioner Abdul Jabar Laghari had taken the stand that on September 2022, he had bought a diet plan for his mother to lose weight from the doctor, paid the full amount of the diet plan 38 thousand rupees, as soon as the mother started using the weight loss diet plan. Stomach pain started.
The petitioner stated that the doctor had given a guarantee of 10 kg weight loss in a month on using the diet plan, but the money was not refunded despite the complaint. The court imposed a fine on the request.
