Cannes: Pakistani short film ‘Noor’ won the Cannes World Film Festival.
Noor, a Pakistani short film directed by Umar Adil, won the award in the category of ‘Best Film on Health’ at the online edition of the Cannes World Film Festival in January.
Speaking to foreign media, the film’s director Umar Adil said that the film sheds light on the impact of not wearing glasses on children and explains how this pressure affects their personality. .
He said that it is a very cute story based on the lens of a girl Noor who is a very good student but faces some problems when her eyesight starts to fail.
Basically the film is about the negative ideas associated with glasses that one should not wear glasses or they will look old.
Directed by Umar Adil, the film stars Sarwat Geelani and Umeer Rana in lead roles. The film will premiere in Cannes soon.
