Karachi: Pakistan’s famous fashion designer Maria B is facing severe criticism from social media users for making a statement against a drama based on the story of a eunuch.
A new episode of the private TV drama Sar Rah aired recently featuring Muneeb Butt as an intersex person and Nabeel Zafar as his father.
In the play, Nabeel is seen advising his son to move forward in life and face the society in bad situations due to being very sensitive, but a clip of the play went viral out of context and after watching this clip Nabeel seems to be teaching trans values to the child.

Yesterday, Maria B had criticized the viral video clip of the play and termed it as a play based on ‘transgender agenda’.
Maria B wrote in her Instagram story that by selling your soul, if this child is intrasex, instead of following Sharia or making it male or female through help, make the child eunuch. Attempt is being made.
On which the fans of this drama also listened to Maria B with open arms.
Fans criticized Maria B and advised her to watch the play in its entirety first and try to understand its main purpose before criticizing.
Social media users also severely criticized Maria B. They said that eunuchs are also created by God like us. They should be respected and not advised to undergo surgery to become men or women.
One user wrote indignantly that it is because of small-minded people like Maria B that thousands of transgenders are thrown out of their homes and forced to beg on the streets.
