5 suspects involved in killing of Jamaat-e-Islami worker in Karachi arrested

It is said that the arrested main accused belongs to a banned organization

Karachi: The law enforcement agency has arrested the suspect involved in the killing of a Jamaat-e-Islami K member who was shot dead in Orangi Town on January 2 and his other 4 accomplices.

A 30-bore pistol used in the murder was recovered from accused Zafar alias Shooter. On his identification, other 4 accomplices involved in the incident, Majeed, Shahzeb and Waseem were also arrested.

The arrested accused killed 42-year-old Waseem Siddique in Orangi Town on the night of January 2, 2024.

It has been said that the arrested accused Zafar belongs to a banned organization, according to the sources, the victim was killed by his relative after giving Rs 5 lakh.

Among the arrested accused are the target killer Zafar, his 2 accomplices Majeed and the third accomplice who was taken in the car after the incident, apart from the 2 people who gave betel nut, Shahzeb and his uncle Waseem.

Shahzeb, the betel giver, along with his uncle Waseem, ordered the killing of Waseem Siddiqui.

The betel was received by target killer Zafar alias Shooter and his accomplice Majeed at a hotel in the area, both target killers had received an advance of Rs 1 lakh while the remaining amount was to be received after the murder.

The deceased Waseem Siddiqui worked as a travel agent and Umrah visas, Waseem Siddiqui was killed outside the house by the arrested accused shooter.

Waseem Siddiqui and betel giver Shahzeb Accused Zafar alias Shooter and Waseem are residents of the same neighborhood, they had a quarrel some time ago during which Waseem Siddiqui tore off the head of the accused Shahzeeb, since then Shahzeeb There was a fire of revenge in the heart.

On the day of the incident, Supari killer Zafar Shooter made four to five phone calls to the deceased. The arrested accused Zafar has been arrested by CTD before.

The arrested suspect has also been arrested in the hands of the Orangi Police in other cases including illegal weapons, the investigation of the arrested suspects is ongoing.
